Seeking Good Soil...

Okay, let's see if I can string together enough coherent thoughts to make a blog post!  (this is becoming a theme for me.  hmmm....)

So, I believe the last chapter had us closing on the house and searching for a new place to live.  And staring at some pine trees (I miss pine trees).

Last week, we found a house that we liked very much.  Well, 2 of them, actually.  One was perfect house and yard, questionable neighborhood (after we decided against this house, we found out it was actually not a kid- friendly place due to unexpected traffic issues).  the other was perfect house, sufficient yard, perfect community... long drive.  While deciding between these two, another house popped up.  This one was terrific, too!  Good house, super yard, good community, couldn't be a shorter drive.  So we made an offer on it.

the counter was... well, the craziest thing I'd ever heard, so we decided to go look at house #4 which had come on the market a couple days before.  PERFECT.  awesome house, awesome yard, awesome non-commute, and you wouldn't believe the neighborhood.  Offer made, offer accepted.  WIN!  Thank you Jesus!

So, this week is the inspection and bank loan process stuff.  There is a murkiness as to the closing date, as the owners of this house need to find a house to move into, and... well, it gets complicated, we're finding, when you are in the middle of this domino thing... the owners of that house need to find a place, and then the owners of that house need to find a place, and so on, and all the stars and moving trucks have to align on the same day while the sprites dance in the forest and drink the dew of moonbeams.  It's kinda crazy.  but the bright side is, maybe we'll get to move in sooner than we thought?  I'm not holding my breath.

And so, we keep on camping, living our normal life in a small space.  It IS different, being in town and close enough to our friends that it FEELS like we should have plenty of playmates, but far enough that actually, we're still counting on the campgrounds for that.  And... well, we hear a lot of frogs and crickets out here, not so much kid playing sounds.  I'm hoping that gets better as the weather gets better.  and, the frogs and crickets are not so bad to listen to, anyway.
