Just a quick update...

I just wanted to stop in here and quickly update what we're doing, in case someone hasn't heard.

We arrived in town on Tuesday, have spent pretty much every minute since then taping boxes, filling boxes, moving boxes, and then moving them again.

We had a few really, really awesome people help us out, and we actually somehow got everything done on time.  Thank you to everyone who helped, whether that was moving boxes and furniture  or watching our kids so we could do some work, or making sure I actually ate  most of my meals, or - especially- those neighbors who took care to deliver hot coffee into my busy hands both days.

To the neighbors:  You are the sweetest group of people ever.  The neighborhood is emptying out, true, and it'll be harder for us to be in touch so much, but I can't imagine life without you.  Jane, I am so, eternally, thankful that you reached out and said hi the day we moved in.  Thank you for the coffee, thank you for inviting us to church, thank you for always having a hug and a lawn chair available.  You have changed my life, and I don't think you'll ever totally understand your impact on our family until we get to Heaven.

I could go on forever, and I don't have forever- I'm gonna fall asleep here.  SO- to the other neighbors- I have LOVED having you in my life and I hope that doesn't change.  (well, of course we'll still see lots of each other- I DO need to do laundry, after all!- and thanks for the offer!)  You have my number, we'll still hang out, but I will miss having you just across the way.  You could always just move to wherever I land...

Or you could go to my church and we'd for sure see each other on Sundays!

So, to everyone else now, who just wants to know "what's the plan?"

Have you not yet figured it out? We don't plan, we wing it.

We'll look at houses tomorrow.  We think we'll stay in the area, find a house, and move in.  Doesn't THAT sound so much easier than it is?

We're staying at this lovely county park right now, which I am loving more than any park we've stayed out.  We've been here before, but it was last year, in full hot summer, and we got the last camping spot- not the best one.  We had our choice of the whole park this time, and I do like our spot.  Out of two directions the view is of pine trees- I fell in love with pine trees when we were in the Dallas area, so I just like the reminder.  And the windbreak.  We're just a stone's throw from the bathrooms, and a nice walk from the playground.  We've paid up through the weekend, and then we'll see where we're going after that.  We really don't know if we'll move on before next week or not, but of course if we move it'll be still close to the area.

Okay, anyway, I think that's enough words tonight.  I don't even have the energy to edit.  But I know some people wanted to know what's up- and just especially for those very, ultra quiet people who politely wait for me to offer information, I give you this masterpiece of words all jumbled together.

Goodnight everyone!
